Steel Sliding Gate with Aluminium Infill – Summerhill, Meath

We installed a steel gate system at a property in Summerhill, Meath, using a sliding configuration suited to the entrance layout. The galvanised and powder-coated steel frame was fitted with vertically arranged 90 mm aluminium tongue-and-groove infill boards. An open upper section, divided by vertical framing, completed the gate construction. Our team also carried out all required groundwork as part of the sliding gate installation.

We automated the gate using a 24 V SEA Mercury motor. The system was configured with reverse-on-obstacle operation, allowing the gate movement to reverse when resistance is detected during an operating cycle. Photocells were fitted on both the inside and outside of the entrance as part of the automated safety arrangement. These components work alongside the motor controls during opening and closing.

For access control, we installed a combined video intercom and keypad, providing a central system for visitor communication and gate operation. Remote controls were also supplied, allowing authorised users to open and close the motorised gate remotely. The completed project brought together the steel gate structure, aluminium infill, SEA Mercury automation, safety equipment, access-control devices and the groundwork completed by our team.
