Commercial Sliding Gate - Shopping Centre in Portlaoise, Co. Laois
We manufactured, supplied, and installed a single galvanised commercial sliding gate at Laois Shopping Centre in Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Measuring 8000 mm × 2400 mm, the gate is constructed from 100 × 100 mm steel box-section profiles, with a heavy-duty 150 × 100 mm bottom rail. We fitted high-security 358 prison mesh infill panels within the frame. Vertical steel members separate the mesh panels into rectangular sections across the gate.
We automated the gate using a 2000 kg SEA Lupus sliding gate motor, paired with an inverter technology control panel. The 2000 kg figure is the motor’s gate-weight rating. We fitted the motorised gate with high and low-level photocells, 8.2k resistive safety edges, and a flashing warning light. The motor is mounted at ground level, with the control enclosure positioned above it.
We completed this commercial gate installation in Portlaoise with the galvanised gate, SEA automation, inverter control panel, and safety equipment fitted.
