Decorative Steel Double Swing Gates – Swords, Dublin
Back to projectsDecorative Steel Double Swing Gates – Swords, Dublin
We installed decorative steel double swing gates at a property in Swords, Dublin. The gates were galvanised and powder-coated in a RAL 9005 black finish, providing a protective coating across the steel construction. Each steel gate was intentionally hung to the back of the pillars, allowing the entrance to use the maximum available opening width. This positioning was planned as part of the installation while maintaining the required movement of both swing gates.
We automated the gates using a SEA underground 24-volt system. The underground motors keep the main automation equipment below ground level while operating both gate leaves. The system includes built-in safety devices, supported by two sets of photocells installed across the entrance.
Several access options were provided for daily operation. The gates can be opened using remotes or the built-in keypad, which provides another entry option if a phone or remote has been forgotten. We also installed a GSM intercom that can ring up to five telephone numbers in sequence. Its dial-to-open function allows authorised users to operate the gates by calling the system from a registered number.
The completed gate installation combines decorative steel double gates, underground automation, entrance safety equipment and multiple access-control options within one operating system.
