Steel Sliding Gate with Oak Wood-Effect Aluminium Infill – Summerhill, Meath

We installed a sliding gate in Summerhill, Meath, built with a steel frame and vertically arranged oak wood-effect aluminium tongue-and-groove infill. The steel frame was galvanised and powder-coated as part of the specified protective treatment. The combination of steel and aluminium brings together the confirmed gate materials for the project. Matching decorative posts were also included to complete the entrance installation and maintain a consistent finish across the gate and adjoining elements.

We automated the gate using a 24 V Mercury motor. As a motorised gate, the system was configured with reverse-on-obstacle operation so the gate can stop and reverse when resistance is detected during movement. We also fitted high- and low-level photocells as part of the entrance safety arrangement, providing detection at two heights across the gate opening.

Access was configured through a combined stainless steel video intercom and keypad. We installed a seven-inch touchscreen inside the house for viewing and controlling visitor access, while remote controls were also provided for direct gate operation. The completed installation brought together the steel gate structure, aluminium infill, motorised operation, safety equipment and access-control components as part of our completed gate installations.
