Full Aluminium Sliding Gate - Co. Tipperary

For this residential property in Co. Tipperary, the homeowner required a secure entrance that would remain easy to maintain in Irish weather. We designed, manufactured, and installed a full aluminium sliding gate specifically for the wide tarmac driveway, sizing the structure to fit cleanly between the existing bright white pillars. The vertical slatted design provides a strong, contemporary appearance, while the dark grey anthracite finish creates a sharp contrast with the surrounding masonry. Aluminium provides a rust-free alternative to steel and avoids the swelling, rotting and repeated treatment commonly associated with timber gates.

We automated the sliding gate using a 24V SEA Mercury motor with built-in safety functions. The motor delivers smooth, controlled movement for regular household use while helping to reduce unnecessary strain on the gate mechanism during opening and closing. Two sets of safety photocells monitor the entrance and help prevent the gate from closing when a vehicle, child, pet or other obstruction is detected across the driveway. For access control, we fitted a stainless steel GSM intercom with a combined keypad. This allows the family to manage visitors remotely by mobile phone while also providing convenient coded entry for authorised users.

The completed installation provides a highly secure, low-maintenance entrance with dependable automation and practical access control. Its bespoke fit, clean slatted profile and anthracite finish give the property a more modern and organised frontage.
