Anae Aluminium Sliding Gate – Ferbane, Offaly

For this project in Ferbane, Offaly, we installed one of our aluminium gates: an Anae full aluminium sliding gate constructed using 150mm aluminium boards. The gate was finished in RAL 7033 cement grey, with this specific powder-coated colour selected to match the existing windows and doors of the house. The solid-board construction extends across the full gate leaf, which operates along a ground-mounted sliding track between the entrance pillars.

We automated the sliding gate using a SEA Mercury 800kg 24-volt motor. The motor includes built-in reverse-on-obstacle technology, allowing the gate to stop and reverse if an obstruction is detected during movement. We also installed photocells on both the inside and outside of the entrance to monitor the gate’s operating area from each direction.

Access can be controlled through handheld remotes or the combined video intercom and keypad installed at the entrance. The intercom is connected to a 7-inch monitor located inside the house, allowing the user to view visitors and manage access from indoors. The keypad provides an additional entry option for authorised users without a remote.

The completed gate installation combines the Anae aluminium construction, SEA Mercury automation, obstacle detection, photocell protection and video access control in one operating system.
