Full Aluminium Automatic Sliding Gate

We installed a full aluminium sliding gate for a residential property in Navan, Co. Meath. The gate was fabricated entirely from aluminium, providing a durable entrance system with a lower overall weight than comparable steel construction. This weight efficiency reduces the load placed on the automation equipment while supporting smooth, controlled motion during regular opening and closing cycles. Aluminium also offers strong resistance to corrosion, making it suitable for long-term outdoor use in changing Irish weather conditions.

Our technicians integrated a Mercury 800 SEA Motor to automate the sliding gate and provide consistent powered operation. The motor was matched with the gate structure to control its movement along the installed sliding track. We also fitted two sets of photocells as part of the safety system. These photocells monitor the gate opening and detect when a person, vehicle or object interrupts the safety beam. The reverse-on-obstacle function provides an additional layer of protection by stopping and reversing the gate when an obstruction is encountered during operation. Together, these systems help prevent the gate from continuing to close when the entrance is not clear.

The completed project provides our client in Navan with a fully automated aluminium entrance system, including integrated motor control and dual safety mechanisms.
