Swing and Sliding Gate Automation – Blackrock, Dublin

We completed the automation and technical integration of a heavy-duty swing-sliding gate in Blackrock, Dublin. The gate structure was supplied by others and featured a solid framework configured with vertical metal framing bars. Our role covered the complete motorisation, safety configuration and access-control setup, converting the supplied structure into a fully functioning motorised gate system.

We installed a SEA 1600 kg motor together with a SEA Full Tank ram. The system is controlled through inverter technology, allowing management of the gate’s speed and torque during opening, closing, acceleration and deceleration. For safety and free exit, we fitted a BEA H laser system as an alternative to a conventional ground loop. Dedicated safety edges were also installed along the leading edges of the gate.

Access control was configured through a GSM dial-to-open system. Authorised users can activate the entrance by calling the designated GSM number, providing a straightforward method of controlling access without requiring a physical transmitter. The completed electric gate installation combines inverter-controlled movement, laser detection, safety edges and GSM access control as part of our completed gate installations.
