Hydraulic Automatic Barrier in Newcastle, Co. Dublin

We installed a hydraulic automatic barrier in Newcastle, Co. Dublin, providing a controlled access point for vehicle movement through the site. The barrier incorporates a hydraulic operating system and a boom fitted with skirts to prevent pedestrians from walking underneath while the barrier is lowered. This type of access system forms part of our work with boom gates for managed vehicle entrances.

The hydraulic barrier uses inverter technology to regulate its operation during opening and closing. A red LED light was fitted along the boom to improve visibility during operation. We also integrated a BEA Evoloop detection system, which performs two functions within the installation. It detects vehicle presence as part of the barrier’s safety controls and provides free-exit functionality, allowing authorised vehicles to activate the barrier when leaving the controlled area. Together, the Evoloop, boom skirts and LED light form the confirmed safety and access arrangement.

Our technicians completed the system integration and installation, bringing together the hydraulic barrier, inverter technology, vehicle detection, free-exit operation and safety equipment as part of our completed gate installations.
