Heavy-Duty Steel Swing Gates – Ballsbridge, Dublin

We designed, manufactured and installed heavy-duty steel swing gates for a property in Ballsbridge, Dublin. Precision steel fabrication was required to accurately replicate the site’s original gates and railings. The completed gates retain the established physical design through open-bar vertical construction, decorative top finials and structural cross-rails. Each component was carefully manufactured to reproduce the original configuration while providing the strength required for an automated entrance system.

We automated the swing gates using SEA 24-volt field motors, providing reliable mechanical power for controlled opening and closing. Our team also installed an integrated safety suite combining safety photocells with a ground safety loop. The photocells detect obstacles across the entrance, while the loop supports vehicle detection and helps manage vehicle flow through the gateway. Together, these systems provide multiple layers of obstacle detection during automated operation. Access control is managed through a GSM two-button intercom, enabling secure, cellular-based communication and remote entry management without depending on a fixed telephone line.

The completed project provides a secure, fully automated steel entrance system that accurately reproduces the site’s original gates and railings. Our team handled the bespoke fabrication, automation, safety integration and final installation.
